We are dedicated

to the idea that now more than ever, empathy and understanding are what we need to strengthen our communities.


The experience begins with a screening of the award-winning film, Doubting Thomas. Together, participants then discuss what stood out for them in the film, specifically in regards to prejudice, race, identity, and implicit bias. The answers are always as varied as the people in attendance, and consistently lead to relevant, sometimes personal reflections that go well beyond the story of the film.

The Talking Thomas experience creates a "Safe Space," but it also becomes a "Brave Space," providing a rare opportunity to deal with a sensitive subject matter in a respectful and supportive setting.

Talking Thomas generates deep, personal, introspection in the post film discussion that leads to natural shifts in perspective and transformational dialogue. Participants are given a chance to learn about their own blindspots when it comes to the way they operate in a diverse community, and acknowledge how their own experience with diversity, or lack there of, influences their behavior.

 Eddie and Will have had the rare privilege of having a cross racial discussion on this topic for 20 years, and they are eager to bring all they have learned to the effort of moving this discourse forward, together.
